The Swiss Classic 5″ Gaucho 4-Piece Steak Knife Set by Victorinox is styled after the large knives carried by the cowboys, or “Gauchos” of 19th Century South America. As nomadic cattle herders and hunters, the Gauchos relied heavily on these versatile beef knives designed for all cuts of beef and chops. The Victorinox Gaucho knife features an ergonomic handle that fits nicely in your hand, as well as a sharp blade that holds its edge. Victorinox knives all have high carbon, stainless steel blades that are hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. Each knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished.
